The origin

One basin. One water source. One standard.

The Fayum depression has been farmed continuously for more than 5,000 years — fed by a single arm of the Nile, the Bahr Yussef. Its calcareous soils and dry desert air make it, together with the neighbouring Beni Suef and Minya belt, the heart of Egypt's chamomile, marjoram and calendula production.

We source from named plots inside this belt, contract the growing season before it starts, and put every lot through one uncompromising process — so the herb that leaves our line is the herb your auditor approves.

The Fayum Standard

Five rules. Every lot. No exceptions.

Pesticide-first sourcing

Contracted plots, spray diaries and pre-harvest interval control — with an MRL screen on the field sample before we buy, not after you complain.

Steam-only sterilization

A validated saturated-steam process built to a 5-log reduction standard. No ethylene oxide. No irradiation. Ever.

Foreign-matter control

Multi-stage sieving, destoning, magnets and metal detection — engineered around the ESA Quality Minima extraneous-matter limits.

One lot, one passport

Every lot carries a QR passport: plot of origin, spray diary, sterilization cycle log, moisture & aw, and the laboratory COA.

Documents in 48 hours

Specs, COAs, flow charts, allergen & food-fraud statements — the full audit pack lands in your inbox within two working days.

Traceability

Scan the tag. Read the field.

Our digital lot passport connects your purchase order to the exact plots, the sterilization cycle data and the laboratory report — one scan, full custody chain. Built for EU due-diligence files, US FSMA-204 traceability and GCC import dossiers.
